Re: Rock Climbing

After watching the attached clip, I got a better idea: Let's, instead, check out a copy of the 1991 flick K2, with the trippy Pink Floyd soundtrack, stoke the fire in the fireplace, get nice and toasty under a bunch of comforters and fluffy pillows, and pass around the bottle of Appleton rum.

Re: Rock Climbing

I tried rock climbing once but I put the harness on backward and I kept getting tangled in the ropes! Not for me. I like to be grounded.

Yeah. Well since I'm not a man that wasn't the issue so much as I'm just retarded.

Thats the best place to start! It's a ton of fun! The funny thing is..I am afraid of heights, but still enjoyed the climb. I juss avoided looking down and climbed as fast as I could!

Umm, Butta, as self-appointed president of the ETJ rock climbing club, it is myduty to advise you, before the next meeting, to read the book Into Thin Air by John Krakauer...especially the chapter on the Death Zone...

Re: Rock Climbing

Having just finished reading Mountain Madness by Robert Birkby, about the same disasterous Everest expedition that Krakauer wrote about in Into Thin Air, I must tender my resignation as self-appointed president of the ETJ rock-climbing club...I'm too young to die!

Me...a good example...HAR HAR HAR... that's a good one!

Anyway, I'll still be at the base camp, sipping hot tea sweetened with yak milk and rum, to offer moral support to you youngsters.
