You don't know the purpose of what you have until you have lost it.

" Birds of a feather, flock together"
Be careful of the company you keep because those with whom you associate your self with, you identify your self with....kind of like....
"Show me you friends and I see who you are"

"Fren an fren boil good soup"
Can't remember the meaning I'm on meds.

Re: How 2 Speak Jamaican Patois

I recently published (August 11, 2004) 222-pages a comprehensive Dictionary on Jamaican patois. The book is called, Jah-may-khan Pa-twah: A Detailed Dictionary of the Language(s), Speech Pattern(s) and Cultures of the Jamaican and Caribbean People's History and Heritage, Book I. The book is written as the language is phonetically spoken – no brushing up to make it sound like the Queen’s English. It has as many as ten definitions for one entry. There are over 2,430 entries which includes a half or one-page history summary of each Caribbean country/nation. I also trace the roots of the language to many of its Afrikan and other sources and outline some of the words’ etymologies (history and origin). I was recently reviewed by a New York City-based Jamaican publisher’s newspaper, Carib News (Week Ending September 14, 2004, page 31, column 1, 2 ). “Clifford N. Welcome a Consultant in New York City recently released his second publication, Jahmaykan Patwah, Book I, a good resource guide for travelers to Jamaica and other Caribbean destinations who would welcome a better understanding of the local dialect.” It goes on to say, “The thoroughness and detail which are reflected in the current publication result in a scholarly work which vibrates with the lifestyle and language of the Jamaican people…the current publication will undoubtedly be retained as part of the history and heritage of the Caribbean people.” This book can be purchased by contacting the Author/Publisher by calling (1-917-548-8796) or by sending an E-mail to anubis065@yahoo.com.
