Re: help translating

Welcome.

"Fire bun" (Fire Burn) is a term used (originally by Jamaican Rastafarians) as a chant of protest and condemnation towards someone.
It is to convey a verbal curse/wish that Jah (God) would visit a punishment of fire on the person for their percieved act of abomination.

Example: "Fire bun fi all di man dem whe a wear ooman clothes".
Loose translation: "May God deliver a punsihment of fire on those men who wear women's clothing".

That last term "puppina close" I am not familiar with and could be one of the latest slang terms; but most likely it refers to a type of clothing, that is obviously not acceptable to the chanter.

PS, Now that I think about it, I think it refers to clothes that has already been worn by someone else. So they have "pupped" (passed gas) in it.
LAwd ave mercy..The t'ings people say deez daze.
