Jamaican words and their meaning

I was reading a thread and it said that some yute DUSS out somebody.

well... DUSS means that you basically win.

Like in a track race....if someone was to DUSS you out...that would mean that they won the race.

like in fighting.... you would say..'AY di likkle bwoy DUSS you out'.

it's normally used in a 'comparison' sort of way.

Like if a small person would beat up a bigger person.
you wouldn't expect that to happen....

or a girl whooping the daylights out of a boy...

she 'DUSS' him out!!

Re: Jamaican words and their meaning

Pyah-pyah...( i don't know how to write out the pronunciation, you would have to hear someone say it)

anyway it can mean weak/skinny in some sense.

'She look pyah pyah'

And how in the world
Can the words that I said
Send somebody so over the edge
That they'd write me a letter
Saying that I better shut up and sing
Or my life will be over

"i dashed him 5", meaning i gave him a slap ...doubt dis will help anyways....

There is another meaning as well, though not often used:
"That no cut no dash wid me"

Meaning, that does not excite or stimulate me.
