I am VERY familiar with Mt. View Avenue...from Winward Road all the way up to Old Hope Road.

Lower Mountain View Ave is NOWHERE you wanna go to in Kingston.

To be more specific, stay ESPECALLy away from the lower end, closer to Winward Road.

In descending order, stay away from Norman Gardens, Rollington Town and Mountain View Gardens.

As you go further North along Mt. View Ave, going past the National Stadium towards the Old Hope Road Beverly Hills area.., little "safer".

Someone else may not share my opinion, but its based on my own personal experiences.

Thanks for the info Alex...I heard it was a very bad place read some articles in the Gleaner about all the political unrest down there now.....hopefully it will settle down after the elections....

Thats area has been a hotbed of unabated violence for several decades.
I have known of many residents as well as police officers who have been shot and killed in that general area.

Its one of those areas that often seem like a ghost town, but is very volatile at a moments notice.

Pleeeze stay away.

Did you get a chance to visit Port Royal; Port Henderson, Ft. Clarence or Hellshire Beach in Portmore?

No Alex last trip we neva did go to town, I stayed in St. Mary and it was a low key visit....serious trip not a lot of partying this time. That neighborhood we chat a bout is where D is from.
