Well, hear di story:
as we all know..mi an my patwah is someting else.....anyway....Missa Groovy him always a laff aftah mi bout how mi talk, and we all know im the English Spoken one roun deez parts.
Henyways....i have ways of expressing myself using words that are no where to be found anywhere pon di planet...but mi still get mi pint across
but there are a few Jamaican words that ARE understandable by fellow Jamaicans....but he thinks that I made them up..

among them are:
Ook up...sentence....di man look ook up!
Drag up....sentence....how u look so drag up?
oonk up....sentence.....stop walk and hunk up yuhself man...
hitch up...sentence.......dat deh dress deh look itch up.
Hoist up...sentence....im pants waist look hoist up.

Now...i KNOW that my fellow Jamaicans on here understand all these words....

........ I am assuming you posted this to assure your mate the above indeed was not made up......... Well sir rest assure same is not a fabrication of her imagination. However, her definition for drag up I don't find to be completely accurate.

When people talk bout how somebody/one is dragged up its more like....... the person have no braught upsy........ the person was not brought up but rather dragged up. They no have nuttin bout dem.

In english........ the person lacks class, decorum and manners.
