If I remember right, this school was Southern Baptist.

No drinking
No dancing
At least 2 huge revivals every year.

They were very conservative. Coming from and then going back to a Catholic school after that was a shock to the system.

Funny thing about the Catholic Church......Jomo always says OMG, is that priest drinking...if we see one at an Event. He's always freaked out about that.

Yeah my bf's mom is very involved in her Baptist church and she doesn't drink at all and goes to rallies and revivals all the time. In fact, the headquarters of the company I work for is located in Raleigh, North Carolina - I told my boyfriend I was going there once and he was like "I didn't know you went to rallies"

"No babe. Raleigh - it's a city" LOL it was quite adorable...

I think its interesting for so many reasons. Funny how things differ because I went to Catholic school from K to Graduation! But here, you CANNOT attend Catholic school unless you, yourself were baptized and you have to show proof. I found this out later when I enrolled my son in the Catholic school system.

Also what differs up here is CAtholic school isn't like private school. There are no nuns or sisters that teach there. Just regular Catholic people.
