Re: Who is The Judge?
There's nobody but you. There's only one consciousness in all of creation, and it it shared through all living things.
Enlightened people can see this. Worldly people cannot and use law to replace what they can't see. x

Re: Who is The Judge?
There is a God, but not what you think.
You can only judge yourself and your own actions with any certainty. And even then, that judgement will be clouded by the impurities of the mind. We can seldom see ourselves as other's see us. Emotion. Passion. Both taint critical thinking. Its human nature to judge because the brain has to assign a value to everything it encounters. Thats not a bad thing as long as its done without emotion. x

Re: Who is The Judge?
we judge ourselves and we judge others. human characteristics not divine ones. only we have to face up to our own actions eventually, which i personally believe happens in the transition between life and death

I do not believe that anyone's journey in faith is the same as anyone else's and that we each have to make our own way down the narrow path... Although it is basic human nature to judge others... we all do it every day in small ways... even I do it as well... but I have begun to catch myself doing it and to beg God's forgiveness and ask that he help ME... becausing in the very act of judging someone we are not showing God's love It is not easy to be a christian... I just simply try my best and pray that the fruits of my faith sow seeds of inspiration in others.

As the man says: Quote:
Our characters and personalities are molded by our own ideals and values but are still dominated by a deep need for self preservation. This self preservation wears an outer protective coat called self-esteem. By judging others it makes us redirect our conscious (and hopefully our subconscious) thoughts away from the filth within ourselves. Whether being religious and quoting scriptures, social and entertaining gossip, professional and rendering critique, we are all just using different media to get us to that same inner destination called self worth. If asked, we would all quickly admit that we have, and do lie...if necessary; but how many of us are quick to admit that we are LIARS? ![]() Whether we walk the talk, talk and not walk, or walk all day long without uttering a single word, we ALL are guilty of hypocrisy. To judge therefore is human.

Re: Who is The Judge?
This is a tough one for me...I try not to judge others because I know it is not my place...I believe only God can Judge ultimately. Here is where it gets complicated...I believe we are all God and God is us...like one big spiritual energy...nd that some spirits are more enlightened than others, GOD being like the ultimate of enlightenment.....thats a fairly simple explanation its much more than that...so anyway If God is a part of me I must judge myself, and try to do this based on what i believe to be his righteous enlightned path....well this is the most basic explanation of what i think....

Personally I'm fine with judging people. It happens and it's never going to stop. I might as well embrace it and realize that I'm going to judge some whether I'm conscious of it or not. |

Re: Who is The Judge?
People judge others because they are trying to give themselves an identity. You must have boundries to have one. Sounding off other people is a path to that.
Life is just one big rock tumbler. You come out all shiny in the end. Of course, when you're busy tumbling, its hard to think about that. x
