Raise my hand…….




I never knew that when the teacher told if I raise my hand,
I would receive the attention I deserve. (6th grade)


16 years later and year after I took in my wife,
I thank GOD for her being in my life.
So why does our so called powerful love has
Obstacles like my shoulders at 45 degrees,
Elbow slightly bent, hand imitates black power,
but my destination is my wife face.
Yeah, I got my attention, not to mention
Me hitting her,
Tired of swinging left submission,
Hard days at work forced un-call for missions,
Wife hear force in voice over cell phone,
Leaves her with plotting and thinking,
Wishing of quick way from me she is exiting,
Children crying cause mommy is hurting.
Hurting, from daddy doing the hurting.
Wanting to take mommy side,
but daddy threatens to have there hide.
Night battles, make ups with forceful seduction,
Sayings like I'm sorry, this will never happen again,
Next day a bad day at work, come home found
You burned a hole in designer shirt
Greetings were kiss of fist meetings,
Led to wife healings from heavy drinkings,
Plotting for revenge, started saving ends
Thought of hiring 20 mens
Keys came close to scratching my benz!
Until one day, striking your head left you dayum
Near dead,
Crying is you, while you fall to your knees,
Why you repeating your sorrys to your apologies,
When sorry is not what you mean.
Your father was abusive,
Your learned what he did,
and learned from his father did,
So fallen to your knees for wifey,
Should had been a fall on knees to
call on HE.
HE revived my wife, change my life,
She allow me another try,
Now when I raise my hand it only goes up high,
I reach for the sky, for mighty power that gave you back to me,
Life is better, mentally, physically and spiritually!

I raise my hand, but only to GOD!
I touch her face to caress it,
not to mess with it!
I'm new......

Thank you LORD,
and Thank you my beautiful woman
you are truly one!
