I miss Jamaica, but that's not all
I miss the love I have around

I miss the smiles and not the frowns

My friend calls it rock-bottom
My friend calls it, God's plan
My friend is sweet to say such things
My friend misses her man.

The hours I work are all for bills
The hours I work ain't for me
The hours I work deprieve me of sleep
The hours are work are not free

My mind seems like a mess today
My mind seems so confused
My mind doesn't give me a break
My mind doesn't let me choose

I'm not stupid to write this piece
I'm not stupid if I mess up
I'm not stupid to miss my land
I'm not stupid to not want to suck-it-up

You can laugh at me for acting this way
You can laugh ...but I am real
You can laugh cause you've been home already
You can laugh; but I can feel.

I miss the land I came from
I miss my family and friends
I miss the many great times I had
I miss it all to the end.
