That Special Friend
A Strange Feeling
Have you ever had that strange feeling?
The kind that you can’t explain?
I’m not talking of a lustful feel
Nor an obsession for another
It’s not about wanting to have something
Nor expecting anything
Not the feeling of danger
Nor any sort of scare
Not the idea of deja vu
Nor the want to figure it out
This feeling is a spiritual one
It fills you with joy
Yes... it is about someone you truly trust
That someone who has a purpose
The purpose is only known by God
And another could only guess
The strangeness is that it’s simple
Yet rather friendly, caring & honest
It’s enjoying any conversation
Not worrying about the next
It’s a feeling of comfort
One that took some time
Time to question, grow, learn, & understand
The strangeness lie’s with no needs
Nor a plan, but just joy
Something not expected nor expecting
This heaven sent feeling sends you to bed
with a smile and an image in your head
A thanks to God each night for such a blessing
and a prayer that it will never end .
