IT'S FUNNY

It's funny how you say you love me, but have only told me once.
It's funny how you say you care, but have only shown me once.
It's funny how I'm good enough to have your child, but not good enough to be your wife.
It's funny how I'm supposedly your soulmate, but not good enough to be in your life.
It's funny how when I talk about our future, all of a sudden you're going to call me back.
It's funny when I'm hurting, your face seems cold and black.
It's funny that I don't believe your as heartless as you seem.
Because as funny as it may be to others, it's often serious to me.
It's funny that I know I love you but won't tell you to your face.
It's funny how I'll protect my feelings in hopes of eluding disgrace.
It's funny how we appear to be so tough but oh so soft.
We often hide our true feelings and soon we'll pay the cost.
Because we've been hiding for so long we've really lost hearts.
We've lost our ability to love freely and now may have to part.
I'll always know you love me and you'll know I love you.
It's funny how You think of me the way I think of you.
