Where Are The Reggae Parties Here? It Seems Like They Always Get Shut Down For Violence....

depends on what type of party you want. most of the dancehall parties do get shut down. young ppl dont know how to act!...some of the older ones too..LOL

Oh snap! Heyyyyyy! Where do you party? I went to h2O, Settings, Zanzibars.....and this weekend I am going to try Crossroads....

i do go to crossroads on friday for happy hour...they have the two for one drink and free jamaican buffet!

i only go to Zanzibar when i want to hear ameican music....and some reggae!

i like roots and culture more so i check turntable on fri (sometimes) and sat! that is UPTOWN! GA avenue. on sat the DJ is real nice! DJ Destiny out of New York...(dont know his island of origin) Saturday is the night for Turntable...(it has a bad reputation though)..but no violence in almost 2 years!

SETTINGS used to be a nice place for dancehall but too many murders in the spot!
it closed down last year! do you know of a "new settings"???

Dang ok...so Turntable...Imma look that up. I heard of some spot called Tocoma Station....not sure if thats the new Settings. The reggae room in Zanzibars is always empty so im like Jamaican folx gotta be somewhere so where!! lol...... Where are you from?

honey...how old are you. if you go to turntable...u better go on a sat...cuz if not, you will be in with the old heads...both night really...very little dancehall! and NO gansta or hardcore danceahll.

if thats your thing, then there is a spot on U stree on Thurdays....somebody told me it was nice for the younger crowd and they play nice dancehall..did name is DJSPYDA! check him on myspace and find the exact location of the party!

Zanzibar is good for "shows" like Colie Budz will be there soon! all kinda artist (none dancehall) soooo...depends on what you like. ima old head so that stuff is a bit much for me!

ohhhhhh Im 32....I like Colie buddz, mavado stuff like that....yeah hardcore!

collie buddz will be there same time as DC carnival! June 20th.

i never miss an event so i will be there.

Hi Lady Rasta! I went to Crossroads Sat nite. The DJ did a good job, it was packed. I am definitely gonna check out Turntables this Sat or next Sat nite....Thanks for the info!

i CAN walk ina party with 5 dollars and leave with the same 5 dollars and be spinning tore down and full..LOL bottles everywhere! (if thats what i wanted to do!)
