the asylum is pretty kickin, i was there in jan. but lawd those boys is intense!! could be b/c i was like the one white girl in there. we also went to this sunday night jam in rae town, if you guys want to be dunked in culture u should do something similar to that. its just a big street dance. margaritaville didn't do it for me, but the brewery was pretty cool too. party on jamaicans!!!

oh yeah, i did hear of and see the quad but we were short on cash and it was J$600 to get in... so we just went around the corner to the asylum again. it looked really nice though, very chic.

See... noone told me Negril was a better spot to be... Im going to be in Mobay..
I mean, I been there done that with the club scene anymore.. Worked in everyone in philly but.. I need to experience one down in JA..

isnt Marguritaville Like just a bar?
Any breaks, dnb.. id even settle for house djs down there anywhere?

Do I need to fly from Mobay to Negril or what?
Just ONE club near Mobay worth going to where I can rock out with my **out LMAo

Melissa if you hit any club in Negril go to the Jungle. Its better and I'm biased

You can drive to Negril, its only 1 1/2 hrs to drive, maybe 2. You can also fly in a little plane from Mobay to Negril for about $60....why bother, then you can't stop at any bars on the way! haha

60 bucks? not bad...

The only thing is.. If I drive there may be risks...
I dont know mah brother has me freaked about some of the **** down there.. hes been there and had a bad time.. BUT im going with a few friends so not to worried... I wish I would of asked around before booking a trip.. but i thought hey.. JA is JA.. right? lol

As long as I get tanner.. and relax and lay on the beach for hours and drink all night (which i dont do here anymore)

margaritaville is good for a day of fun & drinks, its club is awesome too but jungle is the place to be at nights

ok, so say I go to Jungle... then how late does the plane fly us back? I dont wanna stay over night down at Negril.. and dont wanna pay for a hotel over night since I already have one..

how do I get back?

driving to negril is much shorter now since the highway was completed some time ago so the roads are straighter and wider so get ready for a smooth ride, no need to fly as you'll miss seeing all the sights and been able to see those neck of the woods.

While you can fly, the aerodrome closes long before Jungle is ready to close

as KC said the roads are better now so driving to negril will tak at least an hour. The view from a car is great if you drive by the seacoast as opposed to flying. What you can do is go directly to negril from in the day and kick back at any of the beaches there, and then after go partying

I must say that I have not been to jamaica i am year so i feel out of the loop. I am going to Negril on Sat for spring break for a week. Question, is it worth getting the party package that is offered to many students? Or should i just not get the package and go to which ever party I feel caters to my likes. I am not into the fabricated Spring break lifestyle (foam parties etc.), I want to hear jamaican music when i go to JA...Does anyone have any suggestions?

you answered your own question, enjoy jamaica at your own pace not at the pace the tour operators want you go at. Jamaica is fun and memorable no matter if its done as a group or alone. Bebeluv you know what your tastes are so satisfy it the way only you know best.

you could never choose a better place to go for spring break, Negril has everythging to offer where Jamaica is concerned, food, party, shopping, the works. They have some of the best beaches including Hedoism II and the world famous Rits Cafe down by the west end. Good for dining and relaxation. enjoy your time at your own pace as KC said before
