Events in YOUR area!!
Summer time is full of events and activities!! From art, music, to food festivals. Carnivals, concerts, races, sports, amusement attractions, etc.......
Where you live (wether it be a smal town or the big city) ...what are some of your favorites??
What is most popular and impossible to ever find a parking spot???
What is the best to bring the kids too..... and what is best NOT to??
Do you have any memorable events in past summers??
Do you have any exciting plans for this summer??
Do you have a fun story about any past or most recent activities??

Re: Events in YOUR area!!
In my little ole town, we have concert in the Park every Thursday evening. It's mixed with a farmers market.
One of my favorite summer time past times was attending the concerts at CoboHall in Detroit during Grand Prix time!! Detroit was GREAT for all the festivals.... 4th July fireworks on the water front there was another favorite.

Re: Events in YOUR area!!
Last Night I attended the outdoor concert in Park City... A band called Soul Remption performed and it was awesome!! Even though it rained a bit...most hungout and danced the night away! My lil girl and I had a blast dancing and hanging with some of my frens! I love these types of community events!!

Re: Events in YOUR area!!
I always look forward to Parksville’s International
sand sculpting competition. There are a lot of fun events
and it generates a lot of money for the community.
I have kind of a funny story about it.
When we lived in Parksville my two sons would get up
early on the day of the competition and ribbon off the
vacant lot beside our house then they would charge the
tourist $10 each for parking fees. It wasn’t our lot but the
boys would usually make them self’s $50 each to have
some fun with. Cheers and happy weekend!

Hello! I noticed Detroit and Cobo hall – I used to live
In Windsor and remember the waterfront fire works
fondly. I used to go to Cobal Hall regularly for the
wrestling matches. (but that was back in the 70s when
wrestling wasn’t fake) Cheers!

You would! Oh, I can top that. When I was in graduate school, I shared a house for a few miserable months with a guy and his fat fiancee who were rabid Amway distributors. They would practice their sales pitch to recruit other Amway distributors on me because I was too nice of a guy to flatout refuse to listen to it. They never tired of yammering on and on about the unimaginable riches--rooms full of money and jewels--that were possible with selling Amway products. I swear, it was almost like being recruited into a religious cult!
