Any raggae clubs in the DC area, Tue. or Wed. nights?
I'm here in washington, DC from Los Angeles, CA, today July 18th and tomorrow July 19th, so I'll looking for a good raggae club/spot to hear some music and drink...

Crossroads in MD and Zanzibar (sorta) in DC. Not sure what's happening for either tonight though. I'll be in DC tonight as well. If you find something let me know!

Too bad the etj DC resident quit yesterday! LOL.

I was in DC last spring and couldn't manage to get to anything good. When anything that looks remotely like a reggae club is a loooong cab ride from where you're staying, you don't want to go unless you have a good recommendation, and nothing was even near downtown Wash. I remember seeing Zanzibar listed--should have gone out there I guess.

Crossroads is pretty much it unless a session is going on. It's in Bladensburg MD, so if you don't have a car forget it. There are a couple of likkle hole in the wall spots in Adams Morgan which aren't bad....really small but the music is cool and the door is 5 bucks.

The only club I know of is the Turn Table, located on Georgia Avenue, NW. This club is a Jamaican Club. That is the only one I know of right now. I have a few friends in DC I can find out for the I.

I'm mobile anywhere I go so getting there wouldn't be a problem...by the way the little hole in the wall clubs are usually the best music and vibes sometimes depending on the crowd/security because you can be yourself, (I'm used to going NYC basement/underground parties). Looking strickly for Tue/Wed night spots because I have to go back to California Thu.

HELLO!!!! Im the New DC Resident.....and DC has a lot of caribean flavor. ....there are several places: Mostly holes in wall where u have to know where to go. if you are out of town..Crossroads is the most popular because it is the largest and its where all the shows are. Turn Table is the bomb and I aint just saying that cuz my man is the DJ up in the spot..he he!!!

H20 next to Zanzibar is pretty nice and the Avenue on New york avenue (friday night) is cool also...U-Turn on U street is up and coming they got a live band and the dj is HOTT!!!..in adams morgan the BOKUM is the spot...nice live band everynight, good food
