ok, im white alright? but i have nothing against any one of any race color religion or anything like that. the only time i would ever not like some one is if they gave me a reason to, if they were mean to me, or whatever. but this is beside the point.
i love bob marley ziggy and pete tosh, the only reggae artists i know (who are some other good reggae artists?)
so im at school irie, feelin good, wearing my favorite shirt: a bob marley shirt.
now, im an office aid at my school, so i deliver notes from the office to the classes.
when i walked into a classroom that had a group of black students sitting in a group, they took one look at white me in my bob marley shirt and started scoffing and laughing at me!
what? im white and i cant like bob marley?!
i dont understand why they treat me like this! do they think i am disrespecting them? i dont know what to do! im tring to be myself but apparently i cant like bob marley....can you guys give me any advice?

also, can someone clue me in on other good reggae music, my marley cd is practicaly melted i play it so much!

I am 100% Jamaican, but unfortunately can't help much with the reggae music part, love Bob, but not an extreme fan of that type of reggae music. Anyways, about the "black" kids response to you in a Bob shirt, I would just take it as nothing. Racism does exist whether or not we like it, when I see situations like that I just completely ignore it and be myself. If you love Bob don't hide it, millions of white people are bigger Bob fanatic than most blacks, so its ok for you to like him.
