If that was directed at me...I dont visit Ja as often as I wished but will be taking another trip VERY SHORTLY.

For the first time, I will be going back as a tourist.
I will be staying on the North Coast and will be travelling (hopefully) throughout the length and breadth of region from West to East.
I will be so "tourist-ish" I may even speak wid a farrin accent an' preten that I dont undastan patwah.

TRICK QUESTIONS.....

Tell me your opinion on the fact that Britain now appears to be overun with 'foreigners".
Everywhere you go you see more Asians, Africans and all other kinds more than you see the traditional White Britons.

Do you think that most White Britons are bothered by it or they see it as the signs of the times?

Do you think that the UK is as "liberal" as the US in their general views on mixed relationships, immigration and other issues that involved minorities?

Re: Ouch!...I'm home.

We have a lot of Polish doing all the minimum wage jobs that English familys can't afford to take, there is a lot of unemployment in the UK at the moment, but you gotta blame the bosses. On the whole i don't care people are people where ever in the world you go, it's about the person inside, there are good and bad people. I'd say in my experience it's about 50/50,the youth seem more accepting than the older generations but you have to appriciate i don't live in London, i can only tell you how it is in my mannor. We have a lot of Pikeys, they are more of a problem. I think the UK is getting there, but i'm not fussed, don't plan on staying here.

All i can say is Britain isnt as Multi-cultral as the term may suggest. To me that term implies that we mix and live with ease side by side....not true!

They describe London as melting pot, yet you can often name a neighbourhood or area and be able to name the ethnic group you are most likely to find residing there. I only really see mixed relationships or even friendships amongst school children or in central London

One of my closest friends when i first came to London was white and we often got stares in places like Brixton as though it was unusual for a black girl and a white girl to mix and actually be enjoying each others company...

On the flip side i think the government's rules on giving particular groups such as asylum seekers priority has caused alot of bad feeling. Issues such as housing and asylum seekers and other groups being able to skip the queue when there are families who have been waiting for years!
