Well sometimes its cause they actually have a Jamaican woman that you don't know about and they don't want you thinking they do.......I have seen that .....

Sounds like shes confused.
I dont think that is possible to put a whole claim on every women on the Island.
Ive had some guys tell me they dont like dark dark girls, some guys say they just like silky hair.
Ricky has never said anything along those lines.
Mind you Im his first white women, and all before me were Jamaican women.
Ricky has NEVER said that, and would never expect him to.

I think if they say this put your common sense to use.

well, he said, the main reason why is because Jamaican women don't stay committed, when times get a little ruff, they punk out, at least that's what he said...

and why would i be bewildered from the response, you guys are just havin' a lil' fun.... sure I'm confused, otherwise I wouldn't have posted the topic... I mean, everything he said sounded right, untill he started talking about Jamaican women, I'm also from the Caribean and most of the time it's the same mentality you'll find everywhere, both women and men. what i wanted to know is, what does it mean when a man tells you that he doesn't want to hear anything from women in his own country, even if he has a pretty good reason to feel that way

Well, Im indian, and i although i met one who peaked my interest recently, ive never dated an indian man, they are just a total turn off to me

...But i would date a black Trini in a heartbeat!

To say he doesn't like Jamaican women as a whole, i think is a bit unrealistic..there are tons of hard working, dedicated, committed, beautiful Jamaican women.

If he is sincere and not just telling you what he thinks you want to hear then it sounds to me like he has poor judgement when it comes to choosing women.

I think he is saying that he was in love with one ah his country woman that treated him just as good as his mama did, than he p*ssed her off to the extend that she got real vex and she slapped sum sense in his head, left him and burned the house down on her way Sum odda stuff also ah gwaan but I cant say further to risk being stereotyped as a stereotyper

first off me appreciate the compliment to my heritage and culture... now I dont kno of da rawsta personally but most of us be down to earth and dont like da drama we want woman who knows who she is and never changes face no matter who be round if u be dat type uh ghurl you have no worries sharty and not all but some of the females back home don be wantin to express themselves in a way that a man can understand dem the wey dey "some of them see it is if u dont get me oh well" , and if you ain nuttin like dat he got good taste and you be da ideal woman of a island man...
