was advised i should probably introduce myself. not sure what to tell everyone here on ETJ about me but here it goes........
just a young woman (20s) who is interested in learning more about jamaican culture and the beautiful island. would love to visit one day soon- i have dreamt about it for so long but would love to make it a reality. i have always been interested in learning about different cultures that are as far from my own as possible... my country has harsh, blistery cold winters with -30C temps, not so lovely beaches (nothing like jamaican beaches for sure!), no palm trees, no summer breezes but its still beautiful in its own way (fjords/mountains, beautiful summers, midnite sun etc.) i love educating myself. i speak a cpl languages including swedish, norwegian, spanish, and currently learning mandarin, somali and swahili. wouldnt mind learning patois also

anyways i have never really met a jamaican before perhaps i could get to know a few of you on here? its worth a shot.
i love reggae music...aidonia, bob marley, alaine, etana, buju banton, jah cure, beres hammond, toots and the maytals, gyptian etc - hey am i missing something here...
anyways hope there's room for another member... hehe
Wha gwaan, welcome! There aren't a ton of jamaican people on here, myself included, but there are a handful and others who travel back and forth so much they may as well be jamaican! lol What we all have in common is our luv for the island and its culture. Enjoy, there's plenty room for more!
