My name is Abiyah...I am so glad to have found this forum. I just recently started dating a brotha that is Jamaican descent. I was born in babylon (America) however my nationality is Hebrew Israelite or what we call afro-american. I heard so many stereotypes about these brothas although I never dated one. I have alwayz dated american men. This is only because I have not met any brothas of Jamaican descent who were interested in me until recently.

I had just come out of a relationship with my ex (american) 3 months ago and so I really was not into meeting anyone right now let alone establishing a relationship. I feel that your heart/mind/spirit should alwayz be clear and free before entering into another relationship with anyone.

There is a first time 4 everything. Nevatheless, I said I will give him a chance and see what happens. Well I found that he is very nice and treats me very well. It was a whole month before I started talkin to him he would see me everyday and wave hi. He lives down the block from me. We have been kicken it for a minute and so far so good. I know we all have our bad days or whateva but I pray that he continues to stay the same as when we first met. I am a real cool down to earth genuine open and honest woman and I would love to have the same reciporated.

Soooooo I am here to meet others who are dating jamaican men and or women and to see wassup and share experiences whether good or bad I prefer the good cuz I am a positive sistah and I love and give off positive energy. Not only that to learn more of the culture, temperment mind set amongst other things. I think this forum is a great start on that journey.
