I just got off the phone with D...asked him about this he said...its is not really a bad thing toward them...it just refers to Indian....he said some don't like it.....but it does not compare to the N word.....at all.....

The vast majoriity of members here are truly old enough to be your parents. Still, there is often wisdom in age so you could benefit a great deal by being here. If however you feel teh need to be amongst member of your own age group, that is perfectly understandable.
If you choose to stay on, then you are welcome to do so as well as to take advantage of the wealth of knowledge and experience of our many members.

okay well watever forget all of this coolie nonsense.

i just asked my godmom who's trini and she said yes its bad in trinidad but NOT in jamaica. she said if u call someone a coolie in trinidad they'll call u a nigga....wow.

Thankyou!!! Its not a jamaican term so why would i care if its offensive to them, its offensive to me, but if u think its cute, rock on!

Well if you must know he called me..to tell me he loves me on his way to work...and so I just asked him cause I was reading this thread when he called......and i thought it would be nice to mention that he agreed with you....plus i love to ask him about ETJ topics...he thinks its so funny that we have time to sit an chat about all this stuff.

Mine has never used pc or the internet and doesn't even know what I'm talking about - just that somehow I'm communicating with peeps alot - lol. I guess some guy from the UK was selling laptops in his town last week for $800-1000 US that would have gone for about $350.00 Canadian here! He couldn't afford it, but I said don't buy one if you can; when you come here if you want one you can get it way cheaper.
