Hello everyone,
I'm new to the forum. I'm from the east coast of Canada. I have a friend in JA that I met 4 years ago when I was there, kept in touch, and got to see again this year in April.

Thanks so much ETJ, I am so far. Well, Jamcam, we talked on the phone at least once a month the whole 4 years. I couldn't afford to go back till this year. I sent him letters, pics and stuff too. He doesn't have internet so now just the phone is difficult but we're trying to get it arranged for him to visit here this summer. Wish me luck!
I spent a couple days in his home town this time - it was pretty special.
His friends and fam and bartender all told me, "I've been hearing about you for years" lol

Yes I really think it is. I still feel like we have so much to learn about each other! So you are in Calgary. There are sure are alot of peeps from my home and East Coast in general in Calgary - all moved for work. The boom seems to have slowed a bit though.

I'm in Nova Scotia - moved here 3 years ago for work. I'm from PEI.
It will be easier for D if he comes here in terms of flights and resources; however, I think he would like the laid back lifestyle of PEI better.

Where did you come up with redrocksoul?? The red rock part reminds me of the U.S... a very beautiful part of the country.

I came up with my handle from PEI - where I'm from. One side of the island (where we spend most of our summer time) has red cliffs. We are known for our red soil - that even tide doesn't get out - lol. No matter where I go, my soul is at home on the island.
