Re: just back from jamaica
Hello all, I'm happy you had a great time, but keep your money in your pockets. They think we are rich. I'm currently seeing a Jamaican man now he is truly a good guy, he fix things around the house and has only been in Philly for two years and has not accomplished ****.

- They, "WHO" think we "WHO", are rich?
- What is the legal immigration status of the Jamaican man you are currently seeing?
- Since he fix things around the house, what does that imply exactly?
- So... since he has only been in Philly for two years and has not accomplished ****, what have YOU accomplished in your lifetime there?.
LAST BUT NOT LEAST....
- Since he is such a truly a good guy, why are you dogging him here on this a Jamaican forum?

Re: just back from jamaica
I have to agree with Alex. The message is totally conflicting. He's a great guy but not accomplishing ****. The first thing that comes to my mind why you're with him is.......

Re: just back from jamaica
I agree with all on that one....doesn't matter where a man is from, if I feel that he is a good guy, I'll stay with him, if I feel he is using me and not doing anything for himself I won't. So, which is it with your man?
and yeah, of course "they" (jamaicans) would think "we" (canadians or americans) are rich....the guy I met makes about $50 a week....I make way more than that in a day....compare our lifestyles and cost of living and I would still say I'm rich compared to him even though, in Canada, I'm just above the poverty line.
but...if I was with a guy, who is good to me, treats me well, shows me he loves me, tries to do his best by fixing things around the house....what does it matter to me if he isn't able to make much money? and I'm making an assumption that "....has not accomplished ****" means he doesn't have a good paying job.
Does that statement prove that the jamaican man is only interested in you for your money or that you are only interested in the jamaican man who can come to the states (or Canada) and make money for you? Either way is horrible...if he is a good man who is trying that is all that is important, not whether or not he is making a good paycheck.

the trip was awesome....I did a lot of touristy things but also made a point of getting out of the tourist areas and experiencing the "real" Jamaica a little.
Jamaica is definitely my favorite place now...I've travelled a lot but I love the atmosphere and culture in Jamaica, not to mention the gorgeous landscape and amazing beaches and ocean.
and the food was incredible!
the guy....well, I don't really want to go into a lot of detail as I feel a lot of people may cut him down or cut me down because of him.
suffice it to say that I feel there was a connection and he has been very sweet to me...I'm not naive and won't be an idiot about things with him...I've told him that and been very upfront with him about my boundaries and expectations....he has also been (I think) honest with me about his intentions.
He is GORGEOUS though! lol
wow, Jamaican men are fine!!!!! lol

So it's not "they" (jamaicans) would think "we" (canadians or americans) are rich.... By your own admission...It's you.

Re: just back from jamaica
Hello Tsavo,
I've been to JA a few times and last Summer I stayed in Ochie a month, I got a chance to see a lot. I saw quite a few good looking men with a new girl every few days. The girls all have the same look on there face, "This is the One, who is not like the others look" on there face. Sometimes the guys are saying goodbye to one at the airport and picking up another whose plane has just landed, and bragging about it.
Also the family can be in on the game also, so watch out for that. Time will tell everything. I hope you really do have "the one".
