Hi! I am a newbie, and I'm glad to be here

I like to try recipes from other countries. I have been looking, forever, for something I heard on a Bill Cosby comedy sitcom.

He played the OB doctor and Felicia Rashad played the lovely lawyer as the Huxtables. Theo's friend brought, I believe, a Jamaican sausage to the house. Dr. Huxtable was on a diet and was not allowed to eat them. I believe the pronounciation is "po-pay-tah" or "poo-pay-tah". I don't know the spelling and I have certainly looked high and low. Does this sausage exist? What is the correct spelling, and where can I find the recipe?

LOL oddly enough I remember that episode but sorry, I've never heard of that recipe outside of this show.
