to be fair of the people of the world who speak the english language - like jamaica, england, canada, australia etc etc there are some dialects that make their version of the english language distinct. its called accents. to you i may have an english accent, to tinks i may have a northern english accent, to me you have a canadian accent which took me some time differentiating from the american accent - and thats only cos i was exposed to different languages every day in jamaica. to me tinks speaks very different to me. so we all speak the same language but in different ways.

I Listen to plenty of Jamaican music. And like I said before I can't understand everything. I listen to the music because I like the music. Music is not all about words it's about feeling. And when we met he spoke english. he speaks english very well. My wanting to understand what he says when he's not, is not just about me, it's about him. I have brought the subject up to him and he tells me that he's only speaking to them in a way they understand, not to keep me from understanding. And if I do ask him about what a specific word means he will tell me. I would just like to learn without having to bother him all the time.

I understood him cuz he spoke english. I can understand the english just not the rest.
