Exclamation I need YOUR help!

I am from Indiana, United States and I am doing a report on Jamaica for my marketing class. I have to pick a country and a product I have chosen Jamaica and I want to sell a type of clothing. I have chosen Baby Phat, Victoria Secret, and Tommy Hilfiger. I can't choose which one to use. I was wondering if you guys even have these clothes in Jamiaca. What kinds of clothes do you guys where in Jamiaca, can you tell me a website of a popular style of everyday clothes you guys wear. I have left the links to the sites of the clothing brands of Baby Phat, Victoria Secret, and Tommy Hilfiger, can someone please go to these sites and see if you would even wear these clothes and if not what should I do to change them????? Please I really need your help. Thank you.
-Keri

Re: I need YOUR help!

I agree with you JSI, they are HUGE on looking good and sporting brand names. They'd wear any of those. As far as Victoria's Secret goes, I'm sure anyone competing in a DHQ contest would wear it! The more skin showing, the better.

Re: I need YOUR help!

I watched a documentary the other day "Life and Debt" which was about how Jamaica's economic system is in the shape it is today. Actually, Hanes underwear and Tommy Hilfiger items were made in Jamaica in the Free Zone in Kingston. I don't know if they still are but the items were sewn and shipped out then brought back into the country as imported merchandise. Very interesting and informative film although, I found it very sad and frustrating.

Wow Schuttzie that's really interesting. Is there a way for you to find that info on the net? I'd like to read it.

Re: I need YOUR help!

hey kpayne. i'm also in indiana. nice to see a fellow hoosier on board. you're going to find plenty of urban wear in jamaica so you should be fine with whatever you choose.

jc, life and debt was on tv one night last summer while i was in jamaica. i'd heard of it before and finally got to watch it with my bf. it was a very eye-opening documentary and it got my bf all riled up. after watching it he said, "now do you understand why i am the way i am?" i think you can get it off amazon.com if you want to see it.

Re: I need YOUR help!

I got Life and Debt from the library in the US to watch. I also think it was at the local DVD rental store. It is very disturbing and explains some of the socio-economic problems of Jamaica. Anyone interested in Jamaica should watch this documentary for a real eye opener.
