yo whats good, i know i could probably find this on here in some of the old threads but everyones situation and plans arent the same.

next year i want to take a trip to jamaica for 4 or 5 months over the winter and come back home to work in the summer. i know 6 guys from jamaica that i work with over here in the u.s that i can get connections wit if i went over there with them. im really just lookin to chill and have a good time and get away from all the stress in this town and just party and meet new people.

if anyone has the time or patience to answer this question based on thier experience, would 200,000.00 J$ be enough for a comfortable 4 or 5 month stay? i would not be using taxis or public transit i plan on buying a bike or walking from what my freinds tell me about the place.

Not likely - unless you were going to rely upon the kindness of others to help you get by.

Where will you live? What will that accomodation cost?

What will the bike cost? What will it cost to maintain? How much will you be paying for gas? How often will you use the bike?

How much do you plan to spend on food? How much food will you need?

You need answers to those questions so you know how to handle your budget.
