so that aspect of coming to JA does not intimidate me nor change my mind about visiting..
I really jus wanted some input on what I should expect 2 spend on different things in JA..rent, utilities, food, transportation, entertainment ect..
I will be making a trip there soon to experience it all for myself

Honestly your best bet, is take a few trips.
Get to know the Island.
Visit places that are Ideal in your mind on where you want to move.
Get to know people.
Make sure you gather some connections, and friends.
Than think long and hard about is this really where I want to live, like you would moving anywhere.
Remember that you can not be in JA longer than 6 months at a time.
Aswell to acheive a work permit you must have your own buisness, be married, or find someone willing to take you to work for them and get you the permit, which you need to have Schooling for them to even look twice at you.
All of Jamaica is communitys..
Not "gated" communitys.
Just everyone in area know eachother well.
Its like there own neighbourhood watch.
As anywhere, specially when by yourself.
Watch yourself.
Im a 21 year old white girl travelling by myself.
Yes To visit family, and boyfriend
But I know that I must Keep my eyes open and check myself.
