Have you considered moving there and decided to wait?
If you aren't moving there ......tell me why?

Hello,
I just registered on this site it's very interesting in a lot of subjects. I was in your shoes with a child and in love with a Jamican and wanting to move over there. I traveled every since months for 5 years my son visiting once with me. I really was seriously moving there. I hecked out the schools and how much it would cost me. Houses, apts, huts etc......... I was willing to do anything I just wanted in Jamaica. I came to my senses to wait and continue to stay in the U.S. until my son turned 18 then I could go by myself and be with him. As the conversation came up that I decided not to move there his attitude change and my last couple of visits wasn't the same at all. So, when we became face to face my last visit there I ask how was can this work ause it was getting exspensive he added well I can come to the U.S and stay. I was amazed and so happy. Well, when I left i talked to him a couple of times and wanted to know when he could come. Well, he would say soon. Well, soon never came. I called after he didn't call me in 2 days and his phone was disonnected, I called his brother and he said, call later he was busy. After, putting me off for awhile i gave up. My sister went back down there and called his brother and hung out(she went with me one time and had a blast with his brother)when she came home she said, he was engaged to a woman in Miami and was getting married. This was about 7 months of not hearing from him. I wasn't surprise just hurt but, I learned a lesson and I'm glad I didn't make that move. Move there without your child cause things might change suddenly you never know. 5 years of calls, lovemaking, dreams, hopes, promises, love etc........... and a year later his now married. I learn from my experience and I still love jamaians but, i will not be so quick to believe everything that gets whispered in my ear.
Your situation might be on the real and my blessings go out to you, but try the experiene without your child first. take Care,
email me with any other questions I was over there for 5 years strait in Mobay. My son will be 18 in 4 years and I still plan on going over there for at least 3-6months. I really love it there also.

hey Bounty that is a good thought. I have never been to Ja but will travel there soon. That is what my friend said to just go back and forth for a couple of months. That is what he do go home for a couple months and then come back to the states for a couple months.
I have been thinking about maybe buying some land and build a home over there. He does carpentry and he said that he will help me in terms of what area I should choose to live and build on he said he feels Ocho will be good for me since Mobay is so much like it is here over in the states. I am a city gyal though..LOL... so Mobay...dunno.
