well, i am not moving to JA cuz i could not live in a spot it would take me just a few hours to drive all the way around!.

i do admit, the scenery of such a drive is beautifull.

i love the fact that is a paradise away from my everyday

It's hilly in some areas though, so it makes it seem somewhat larger.
Jamaica dos no appear to be small from the inside. There are so many different things to see with variations between the North, South, East and West coast...The mountains, the beaches, the suburbs, the open spaces, the country, the town, that you can never feel cramped there.

I was SO short-sighted last trip. While sitting in Miami, one volunteer was requested to give up their seat on the flight -- for a confirmed seat on the next flight, less than 2 hours later for a $500 travel voucher.

I was too intent on getting there on time, LOL -- and my own flight was actually delayed 2 hours and arrived only a few minutes earlier than the later flight I could've been on with travel voucher in hand.

LOL Lilly!! On one of my trips I was begging at every layover to be bumped to a next flight. It almost happened on one flight but at the last minute they put me on the plane. I would gladly give up a day in Jamaica for a free trip back.

I would never move to Jamaica. Sooooo many reasons. None to do with the Jamaican people though. Except, when I am in the tourist areas, I don't appreciate the assumptions about me, my husband and our relationship. Uncomfortable and irritating. Visiting is just fine by me. AS long as I can come back to our house, my job, the NYC pace, NYC shopping, Giant STOP N SHOP, Starbucks, and all the creature comforts I'm accustomed to.
That's just me. Plus, I am a kidney transplant recipient and the risks are too high, not being near a top hospital.

Oh, the old, "you can take me hostage", trick. Nex ting you know, the hostage taker becomes the hostage takee.
