Not because I no longer respect your opinions but because I now see that it devoid of credibilty and high on ignorance. But who gives a whistle what I think anyway. The forum is for all; the informed as well as the ignorant.

Respectfully, once again you have shown your propensity for making statements devoid of facts. Maybe you wanna take a look at this report: America's Most Dangerous Cities - Forbes.com
There was an article in a Jamaican newspaper online a couple days ago that cited the crime rate in Jamaica being 10 times that of America. I am a person who deals with facts for a living, I don't make stuff up.

If I find it and cite it will you care?

As for American cities, I don't live in or visit American cities. So the crime rate there means nada to me.

As for how Jamaican men treat women, I will change that so say I don't like how they treat me in particular.

I think you're an educated guy Alex, but biased, and your response to my candor is disappointing but not surprising.

I'm throwing pearls before swine here. Take that as you wish..........

My posts provide denizens of ETJ an opportunity to respond with positive or helpful feedback, but as usual you've taken a defensive and dismissive attitude. You don't want to hear the truth, you just want to guard your viewpoint.

Whatever, it doesn't change the facts. There's no point in trying to reason with anyone who isn't at least willing to consider other people's perspective and I find it particularly interesting to note the things you decide to address because it's the things you DONT address that tell me a lot about you.

That's why I no longer engage in debate with you, Alex, you don't want to learn, you just want to be right............................................. .....

No heart feelings LeesaJ, This world we live in is all about choices. I will miss your contribution in other debates.

As i said before, I still have the highest respect for your and your opinions (in general) but I will defer any further discussion on issues as I described.
If to be biased by definition means that my perspectvie and opinion in influenced in some way, then I guess we are are in some way shape or form. But dont point fingers at me because your statements failed to qualification as a postulation.

......
At this point, even your reference to my being "an educated guy" is circumspect. Call it paranoia, but should I presume that you also hold the opinion that most Jamaican men are uneducated as well?

But dont point fingers at me because your statements failed to qualification as a postulation. What does this even mean? I was referring to facts I read in a Jamaican newspaper. It was not postulation or speculation or imagination, it was facts printed in black and white. And I read the same facts in the Gleaner about three months ago. If you can show me other facts regarding the issue then please do. I won't diss you for it.

What is wrong with you??????????????????? I don't care about your nationality, I'm saying your an obviously educated INDIVIDUAL, jeesh, excuse me for referring to your gender.

This type of thinking on your part is definitely paranoid at best and it's inflamatory as well. It's a great way to distract people from the issue at hand. I wonder if you're doing this on purpose? Very manipulative.

I DO NOT KNOW ANY JAMAICAN MEN WHO I CONSIDER TO BE UNEDUCATED. ok? One might be an educated fool though......................

Holding and expressing an opinion on issues having no relevance to facts, is one thing. Throwing caution to the wind and just making stereotypical statements on fact-based issues that has absolutely no credibility, is a totally different thing.
So show me some facts about Jamaica, because that is the topic at hand.

Otherwise this is just gibberish.............

Re: I am not moving to Jamaica.......

The problem here is that there is absolutely no respect coming from you, Alex.

You're bashing me and intentionally misinterpreting my words. Then you're joking with your sidekicks at my expense instead of even considering my perspective in this dialogue.

I don't think you do understand how I feel at this point or how I felt when I posted earlier. Cuz if you did I would think you'd have taken a differnt tone with me in regard to all of this.

Like I said earlier, it seems to me that you only care about being "right".

LJ,
The truth is that I like and respect you much more than it may appears at this moment. I just dont care anymore for your opinion on this ispecific ssue.
You were quick to indicate the appearnce of "uptightness" on the part of others (me, maybe) in your earlier post, but it is now apparent where the true frustration lies.
If you are not able to be caught up in the moment of a "heated" debate, roll with the punches and move on to another issue unscathed, then don't blame it on me;.
You have expressed your opinion on an issue close to home and I responded. If that puts me in your cross-hairs then I cant help you with that.
Lets move on or move out. Tomorrow is another day.

Re: I am not moving to Jamaica.......

You continue to dodge the issue and try to assign to me things that are not true.

I am unscathed.

I know what I know and whether or not you agree with it doesn't change a thing.

I think it's more a case of me coming in your cross hairs but at this point I don't care anymore cuz it's obvious nothing is coming of this discussion.

I stand by everything I have said about my experiences in, knowledge of and opinions of Jamaica. All true, I have no ulterior motive here.

Nice place to visit but I wouldn't want to live there.
