Foreigners
I was born and raised in the United States but I've traveled quite a bit and I have a certain undying passion for the wellness of humanity. I want to move to Jamaica but I'm not sure precisely how easy it will be.
I'm not rich and I'm white; those are my concerns. I've been doing a lot of research and Saint Ann looks like the one of the nicest places to settle down. I was hoping of finding 20 acres, because I want to grow food and have livestock. Are there real estate scams? Do I have to go through a real estate agent and pay ridiculous amounts of money because I'm white or could I find locals who share my vision? I don't know anyone in Jamaica but I've loved everything I've heard about it, good and bad. Does anyone want to be my friend?

Re: Foreigners
I'd say visit there before you decide to settle there.

Re: Foreigners
I am basically in the same boat execpt that I do have ties to jamaica. Moving there is a really big decision that should not be entered into lightly, or just because you like visiting there. I have plans to move but I have been in the process and getting things together for the past two years, my plans are to finally relocate in two more years...First things first, you need a place to live and plans of support.
