If you moved to Jamaica

What would you miss most??

I went and got a pedicure today and I thought how I would miss sitting in the massage chairs while some one is catering to me. Not that they dont have this in Jamaica but it just seems like thats more of a luxury then what happens especially outside of the resorts.

What would you miss most?

Question Re: If you moved to Jamaica

Hmmm, that's a good question and a great thing to miss. I would miss my mom, my sisters, my brother, my nieces, my nephew, and the people I work with. Oh and my friends too. But, I would be glad to be with my man! I honestly don't know if I would move to Jamaica though.

Re: If you moved to Jamaica

I'd miss my dog the most but hey....I would NEVER leave her so I'm not moving to Jamaica til she's lived her life.

I'd miss my friends because I'm sure everything fun I'd do in Jamaica I'd wish they were there for it! But if all my friends and family had a free place to stay in JA I know they'd be there lots.

Exactly, my pups are the only things holding me back from moving to Jamaica. And it's difficult because every day that I talk to my man I want to pack up and be with him. But I've had my dogs since they were 6 weeks and love them like my children. So the stuggle continues... 2 beautiful Shih Tzus vs 1 beautiful man...!

Re: If you moved to Jamaica

If I lived where Jomo used to live, I would miss hot water, a/c, screens on windows, my grocery stores, malls, my movie theater, my car, and my friends. Most of all, I would miss privacy.

Re: If you moved to Jamaica

He lived in White House, in Mo Bay, just on the other side of the airport, between the runways and the Sea. Where are you moving?

Talking Re: If you moved to Jamaica

I'm not moving to Jamaica! I am getting my own apartment here in Mesa, Arizona next month. Currently I live with the roommate from hell Can't wait to have my own place again though, I swear by the time you hit 30 years old, you're pretty stuck in your ways eh? lol I had read your post Jomo's Girl about no hot water and I called my sweetheart right away and asked if he had hot water. He laughed and explained to me that the water where he's at is semi-warm but there is no need for hot water. He did assure me that we would be spending most of our time on the North Coast at one of the resorts. Of course I have NO idea about Jamaican geography so I have no idea where Mobay or even Clarendon is! It would be great to meet up though if at all possible!

Re: If you moved to Jamaica

Semi-warm to a JA is downright cold to you and me. It is only semi-warm when the sun is directly overhead and there is no ocean breeze blowing! If you don't believe me, ask Jomo. Now that he's had hot watered heated showers, he says he cannot go back to JA and take a shower at his mom's house.

Get a map, girlfriend. Time you learned the island geography.

LOL I will be sure to learn so I will know where I am! When my sweetie told me that the water wasn't heated I was like, "You take cold showers!!!" He laughed so hard and like I said, he told me we would be at a resort which had hot water!

ROFL

Re: If you moved to Jamaica

If nothing else, study the world map on the airplane. There's a little JA on there...major cities anyhow.

Re: If you moved to Jamaica

When I lived in Jamaica I missed my washing machine! Everything else I could live without! Washing red dirt out of clothes by hand not fun (football gears especially!!!) especially in rainy season when it rains for days!!! In the hills on North Coast not hot at night even in summer so i had no problem with no a/c and you get used to the water!!!!

It's usually in the back of those stupid airline magazines either as or near their route maps.
