So I have decided to move to Jamaica. I mean I have been thinking about it some time by why put off the inevitable.
But to prepare I am looking to go down and rent a place while I get more settled.

I was looking to rent in the Mobay area.
Anyone can recommend the best way to go about it?
What would I be looking at in terms of monthly rent?

Misty, I have a home in Mobay and might could help ya when I return Aug or Sept. Have to stay in US until then. There are some homes in my area for rent. They run $450-$800 depending on the home. Check the net for apts. If it's just a temporary stay of a couple of months I may be able to help you. Give me a chance to answer your posts. We all want to move to Jamaica. Make sure it is feasible with the money, job, etc. situation before you run off into the great unknown. It's not as easy as it sounds.

Well I was having a bad day when I posted this but yes there is a method to my madness.
I actually have been there more times then I can count. I was actually trying to see if I can do some searching while I was here as that seems to be the difficult part.
I am sure while i am there it would be easier.
At this point I want to find a place there I can stay for an extended amount of time. My next trip was going to be a month but because of business here that wont be possible so it would probably be shorter more like 2 to 3 weeks.
So staying for that time I wouldnt want a hotel as that gets expensive.
So I was looking for some help in that area.

Maybe she can point you to some sort of rooming house with weekly rates.
