Shipping to Ja

I am moving back to Ja in just over a month. I am trying to see if shipping my furniture home with me is worth it. Has anyone done this or know of anyone who has done it. Trying to figure out if I should just sell everything and move.

By the way my husband and I are moving there to work with a Non-Profit that is based here. We want to do our part to help the country. I really need some feedback from people who have moved back .

Re: Shipping to Ja

My mom just did it as a return resident and she only paid under a thousand jamaican for moving a her entire home from NY to JA. I think there is certain paperworks you have to do as well as a interview once you get back but if you were bron there all it should cost is the shipping and then a fee. But you won't pay as much unless you are not a jamaican citizen. Ask your shipping company about going back as a return resident if you are.Hopes this helps.
