Social Workers/Counselors

I wanted to know if there was a need for social workers or counselors in Jamaica? Do these jobs exist? And if so, where are they?

There definitely IS! All over the place.

Incog, check this link. I know its for Canadians but I also know they have sister organizations in the states so you could get some info through them.

Re: Social Workers/Counselors

I went to the link, but the only positions they had available were for areas in marketing. I am assuming that the things I am interested in doing professionally will only be classified under the "volunteer" section, which I do not necessarily want to do. I would like to be compensated, as that is my profession here. Any more suggestions?

With that CUSO website the positions change all the time, you have to keep looking there periodically. Stuff in Jamaica always comes up, there is definitely a need for that in Jamaica.
