I am considering moving to Jamaica soon but am having trouble finding info on bringing my yorkie and ****zu. Thought I might have to go through the U.K. Does anyone have information or know how I can do this? Thanks! Lila

I'm pretty sure I read on the embassy website that they don't allow animals from outside Jamaica to enter. i wondered this myself a long time ago.

I'm fairly certain they only allowed dogs through britian that had passed a rigorous medical exam. through britian of course meaning born in britian, can't say though, the embassy site is gone :\

Tough question. I think the dog would have to either be bred in Britain or stay there in quarantine for a while. See the link below for where to contact in Jamaica.

Since JA has no rabies the chances of you bringing a dog in (legally) is slim to ZERO.

By the time the dog clears quarantine, you will have to put them down.

Either plan to pay a money to clear them quick, smuggle them in, or face quarantine in the UK.


BTW...bringing dos from JA to the US is a simple task and only needs a Vet note.
