Re: Buying Cars in Jamaica & moving furniture

I don't know for sure but several Jamaicans have told me not to ship furniture. It just costs way too much, so when I move around November I'm going to have a guy make the beds, dressers, entertainment center and dining table. He will also carve what ever my little heart desires on them. As far as the car goes, I asked about a Toyota Corolla, which a lot of Jas drive in Mobay area and I was told a good used one was $14,000 U.S. I haven't really looked but try your search engine for Ja newspapers and look at their classified ads. What city you movin to?

I'm pretty sure car prices are relatively the same. My police man paid the same for a 1999 Nissan Sunny as we'd pay for a '99 Sentra, so its comparable.
As for furniture....you can move it if you wanna but I'd rather go empty handed and buy everything. Just have a big house sale, sell it and go! Be adventurous!
