GUBA - Ross.Kemp.On.Gangs.S03E01.Jamaica
from a series on different gangs, this one in JA and its pretty interesting. It shows a side you rarely see. you see them blocking off the street every night to stop drive-by by neighbor ward. really depressing and puts a face to gun tunes i guess. ross kemp is inoffensive as a host in the various shows i have seen. on another note, i saw some mention the show the wire. for my money nothing can touch the all too short but still worth watching canadian series Intelligence from director Chris haddock, of Da Vinci's inquest fame. the show is about canada/usa herb smuggling with lots of dancehall in it and some dreads as well. realistic, gripping and complex no other show can touch it. was cancelled for political reasons as haddock is a canadian nationalist talking against the deep integration tactics of rogue internationalists in cahoots with canadian and usa intelligence, which are really one in the same, that are systematically buying up strategic natural resources like water reserves. other subplots are about the weed king, a sympathetic fellow, dealing with the corrupt law, the bikers etc.
the network denies this is why they cancelled the show, despite petitions from fans, but Hadock doesn't buy it:

the one group doing much of the international mischief is called blackmire, an obvious reference to blackwater
both haddock's programs are so good it ruins all other programming almost. just thought to mention as its worth seeking out. dub soundtrack is pretty good
