Anybody hear about the movie "the Beauty shop"
Its the part 2 of the barber shop.....
I got it from a friend in the States, its really funny so i would like to know if the beauty shop is availabe.

yeah I have heard of it Fran, the trailer seems really great and really funny. I never liked part 1 and I think this sequel will supercede the original. I loved the first Barbershop and I'll for sure love the second. Ice Cube is one man that I've followed since the beginning of time and the only flop he's done is Anaconda (in my opinion).
I absolutely love that boy and his music and movies. That trailer looked pretty funny as usual. Thanks KC

cube has that "roughneck cuteness" that makes him irrestible. i loved barber shop and i'll definitely be watching beauty shop.

TIA, lemme ask you....are we living paralell lives? Good thing we're not in the same city or we'd be fightin over all the ruffnecks. He IS irresistable isn't he! Especially in that trailer when he's wearing his glasses....a sophisticated thug.....mmmmm

Well JamCam and Tia it seems to me like Ice Cube is one of dem guys who is a metrosexual, he doesn't age at all, must be using an entire jar of Oil of Olay.

Anyway I am a guy so my reason for watching the show certainly aint about his cute roughness. I think the storyline could have been better and the corny jokes didn't really help. I have seen Friday, Friday After Next and that is what jokes are about, Brown Sugar was another corny black comedy that failed!

Black comdey is a true form and in a class by itself Barbershop 1 didn't live up to the trailers hype in all fairness.

2 outta 5 for me.

Sorry to hear you didn't like it KC. I really did. I also liked that it was a bit more "general" viewing than the average Ice Cube surprise. I was surprised it actually had a point and wasn't too vulgar for my son to watch.

I just watched Barbershop II and I really enjoyed it. I still can't believe Ice Cube is in charge of such a mild mannered movie!

I saw Beauty Shop this past weekend too. Really enjoyed it, sometimes I'm down for that kinda movie. More of a feel-good flick.
