Alex4Ja nah do too bad.
What makes a classic?

What qualities in a movie make you consider it as a "good" movie?

Do you still watch old classical movies?

What classical era movies do you prefer? (1920's, 30's,etc).

List YOUR ten most favorite movies of all times.

Re: What makes a classic?

I don't do classics I guess. In my mind my 10 most fav's are 9 of Denzel's movies and Crash.

Re: What makes a classic?

Not into movies that old. I think a classic is one that makes me think about it long after it's said and done. And, one I can watch with my entire family.

1. Waiting For Guffman
2. Rear Window
3. Clueless
4. The Lost Boys
5. Dirty Dancing
6. Pieces of April
7. The Station Agent
8. Before Night Falls
9. Ocean's 11 (George Clooney version)
10. The House of Sand and Fog

Depends on what mood I am in... but I like movies that make me think, or make me really laugh, or make me really scared... I don't usually like the sappy and/or sad love story (chick flicks)... hmmmm

Yes... I just watched "Adam's Rib" and "Breakfast at Tiffany's" the other day....

Probably 50's....

10. Red Dawn
9. Silence of the Lambs
8. The Fall
7. Pan's Labyrinth
6. When Harry Met Sally...
5. Bedknobs and Broomsticks ( )
4. Mary Poppins
3. Mulan
2. 88 Minutes (awesome!!!!)
1. Nightmare on Elm Street (the original)

OMG, Windy......You and I may be the only people who have ever seen Red Dawn. When I mention it, people look at me like I have 2 heads. My favorite part is the bumper sticker that says "You can have my gun when you pry it from my cold, dead hand".....and then they do. That is one awesome scene!

Re: What makes a classic?

Love Red Dawn... and in recent years the possible reality of that situation has become all too close for comfort.

I loved reading Wuthering Heights... but I never watched the movie...

BTW Alex......you have A View to a Kill on your first post. My favorite James Bond. Grace Jones is the BOMB! She is so freakin' bad in that movie. I wanted to be her when I first saw it.
