Did anyone see this movie? I watched this past weekend, it was good I enjoyed it. Denzel is such a great actor.

I tried on Saturday but it was sold out. We're going to try again Thursday night. I can't wait!

I saw it.
The acting by Denzel and Russel Crowe was OK, to say the least.

All except that, Russel did a poor job, accent-wise, at portraying
a "Nu Joisey" cop.

The movie however was nothing to write home about. Just another tale of drugs in the hood, naked females processing heroin, black brothers strung out with needles stuck intheir arms, corrupted cops, waste of financial resources and one man's effort to prove that he can beat La Cosa Nostra at their game and be "The Man".

From my point of view it only serves to show the ever constant greed and prospective fate that envelops all drug dealers and the downfall that they all eventually share... whether by the needle, the nose, the bullet or the gavel of the Judge at sentancing.

I wasn't impressed.

I think I must be destined to never see this movie. Last night was the raincheck from last Saturday's attempt to see it. Well last night I was held up for almost an hour in traffic that I missed out again!!!!

And Alex, you only didn't like it cuz of Denzel....I know you're jealous of my relationship with him

I thought it was okay. Not the best I've ever seen, not the worst. Denzel and Russell were good. I could've done without a lot of the nudity and violence; but then, again, I suppose it does go with the drug trade. Not my field of expertise, so I'll just let them tell me the story. I wouldn't watch it again.

On the contrary.

I am an avid fan of Denzel.

I enjoyed watching him in every single movie all except "Devil in a Blue Dress", "For Queen and Country", "Virtuosity" (Ironically, with Russel Crowe again, and "For Queen and Country".

I have watched "Glory", "MalcolmX", "Under Siege" and "Out of Time' almost (collectively) 300 times.

If you are a serious movie fan/critic....maybe you woud not like it.
If you watch for the fun of it and dont mind seeing Denzel in any shape or form..it good to watch.
