Thumbs up Cheech & Chong !!

it was all about the marijuana, ganja, lambs bread, collie weed, etc etc. even though they were the main frontrunners of said items type movies along with thier antics included, they were funny in their laid back humor. what were you're favorite movies done by these two.

UP IN SMOKE

NICE DREAMS

THINGS ARE TOUGH ALL OVER

CHEECH & CHONG'S NEXT MOVIE

STILL SMOKIN

YELLOWBEARD

CORSICAN BROTHERS

Re: Cheech & Chong !!

Used to get wrecked and play the Cheech & Chong LPs--Cheech & Chong (self-titled) (1971) and Big Bambu (1972). Played those albums till I couldn't play them anymore (because of the skipping from all of the burn marks on them).

Do you even know what I'm talking about...LPs...turntables? That's what we used to play music on before 8-track tapes.

DWL...YEs....I still have a turn table and a box of records. Heck....I even have a handful of 8-tracks. My dad use to have an 8-track player in his van when I was a kid .

Re: Cheech & Chong !!

Cheech and Chong are the best. When they open those van doors and all that smoke just pours out.....I lose it every time.

Re: Cheech & Chong !!

My favourite Cheech & Chong movie was – THINGS ARE TOUGH ALL OVER.
I also had all their LPs.
Born in East LA only had Cheech in it but it was a good movie.
Cheers!

Re: Cheech & Chong !!

Was living in Santa Ana, just south of LA, during the years (1971-72) that the first two Cheech & Chong LP albums came out. I loved the south-of-the-border "feel" of Santa Ana, with its little eateries that served real Mexican food, the mariachi bands playing on the street corners, and the nightly parade of low-riders down main street.

Luv the loonie avatar, Nanoose.

And Paul Rodriguez. I loved that guy. His stand up comedy is so funny.

"Up in Smoke" is my favorite.

Their first 2 albums were the best – the bit about the 2 dogs still
cracks me up. LA must have been a cool place to be in the 70s.
(did you ever see Zappa)
We didn’t have low riders here in the 70s it was mussel cars you could
down town and watch them pop weelies pretty cool too. Cheers!

No, never saw Zappa, but had one or two of the LPs. I think my favorite song was Camarillo Brillo...loved the guitar in that song.
