the following takes place between 12 noon and 1 pm

begins with tom lennox (presidential chief of staff) trying to convince the president that is plan would be the most effective to handle the crisis (an ultra aggressive, racial profiling system) and unknown to the president many of the preliminary steps have already been taken


as the van carrying jack and his father enter a construction site, philip confesses to his son that they got carried away trying to cover up the threft of the nuclear devices from the family's company
of course, jack manages to escape and kill the captors
they move to graem's residence

mccarthy is holed up in a motel with his high maintenence floozy and finds fahid a new tech to reprogram the nuclear devices but warns the person would need "convincing"

nsa sends ctu mccarthy's call to fahid that included a encrypted picture of the new tech; morrison sets about to decrypt the pic file but it is a very slow process

ctu surronds graem's residence, captures him and await jack's arrival
jack begins a rather painful chemical induced "interrogation" of his brother
graem confesses his role in mccarthy and partners' role in the assassignation of former president david palmer (late brother to the current president)
the VP and chief of staff are in cahoots and discusses the possiblity of the president not going along with "the plan" but lennox convinces him that the president had signed on and the vp admits he was not ready to but willing to unseat another president palmer

during a joint cheif's meeting, palmer reverses his decision to implement "the plan" for fear of fostering the politics of fear...needless to say the vp is pissed

mid duty, morris receives a message that his younger brother is in a hospital in critical condition readys to leave
chloe convinces him to stay and finish the job
the process is tedious and slow
morris employs a new software not authorized by ctu but convinces everyone that is the most effective way to go
when the job is about 90% completes he is given leave to go find his brother
moments later the picture of the tech is decyphered and yes it turns out the tech is morris
en route to the hospital, morris is kidnapped by mccarthy.... kinda saw that coming

final scene shows philip having a moment before graem is shipped off to ctu for further questioning
philip murders his son and is sets to blame ctu for OD'ng on the chemical inquisition

I was supposed to work tonight. But, in a few minutes I am leaving here, calling in at ON, and going to my bed. Hopefully, I can stay awake long enough to watch 24 tonight. I'd hate to see how long your response would be after 2 hours of non-stop action tonight.

I saw it........so happy, Obi. OK, well I saw the whole first one and the last half of the second. Fell asleep for a little while in the middle. While I love your commentaries, it was so nice to see it again. That Jack is BAD!!!! Wish I had fallen asleep before I saw them use that drill on Morris. That was wicked!
