I'd have to say, I'm not surprised at that article. Funny thing is, the whole attitude is so narrow-minded and old fashioned. I mean, really... do they think screening the movie is going to turn people gay? Do they really think that any normal, horny, hetero male is gonna see two cowboys packing fudge and think to themselves "hmmmm... that looks like fun. forget girls...ima go find me a man!" ???? To put it bluntly...not a snowball's chance in hell!

I saw the movie... and actually, I didn't think it was that good. It kinda made me want to go camping though--the outdoor shots were nice. The acting was kind of overdone--not great actors. It was kind of sad, but some of it was so far-fetched (although I know that most Albertans who wear jean suits are gay--ask JC).

But fi real, let whoever wants to watch it, watch it. I'll bet that most won't watch it twice, lol.

I haven't even tried to get Jomo to watch this one. He had so many problems with "The Rocky Horror Picture Show", I figure it's not worth the hassle.

Rup would definatly not, we watched Eurotrip the other night and there is a part where the people are in Amsterdam and shows the guys a%$ and them going to put something in it, he changed the channel, then came back to it after it was done!

I can honestly say, don't bother. I don't care one way or another, but if those two are even a little uncomfortable with seeing anything gay (like guys holding hand) then they MOS DEF don't want to watch that movie. It's a bit of a shock--watching cowboys f*ck... just weird. The movie had some redeeming qualities, but it wasn't brilliant or anything.

Yah, it's not like it was kept secretive what the whole premise of the movie was about. And, it's definately no secret how they feel about it in JA.

it doesn't matter what we Jamaican's say or think, we will never beat, chop, burn a homosexual. Jamaicans have gotten more liberal in their thoughts and accept the diffrences in ppl. Fire bun and gun shot for same sex relations is all talk.

Is any one really suprised at a cool reception for a gay cowboy movie in JA.....uuuhm....hello .....it sounds like the movie marketing team was a sleep at the switch......maybe they should show it next in some middle eastern countries Like Iran or Iraq.......bet it will get a "great" reception
there too.....
