I have 2 favorites...Out of Time (Denzel Washington) and Imitation of Life, which is an old classic about a black girl trying to pass as a white girl most of her life. Her mother tries to impress upon her that she should not deny who she really is, but the girl does not listen.
She learns all kinds of lessons for not being true to herself. This is a must see film!

I think my all time two favorites would be Counte of Monte Christo and The Color Purple, i just have to watch them everytime they are on!!!
