Question Jamaican music industry

Hey ETJers: Does anyone have any links to Jamaican musicians or people in the music business in JA?

Any info would be helpful!

Re: Jamaican music industry

What are you looking for? Promoters? Artists? Producers? A&R reps? What?

Re: Jamaican music industry

Anyone who could help open the door for a young roots reggae singer. It's my ex- he is planning to return to Jamaica with some tapes of his stuff, which he's been working on here in NJ. Even though he worked in Ochi most of his adult life, I don't think he knows many plugged-in people, plus he hasn't made a ton of money here in the US to take home to promote his stuff. He mentioned that the woman DJ on Irie FM plays unknown acts sometimes, but he doesn't really have a plan. I thought ETJers might have good advice.

Thanks!

No metal. Although, I used to like some of the 80's. Rock is okay. What are you thinking?

Re: Jamaican music industry

I appreciate music of all forms. I do not lock myself into just one genre.
