Lady Saw invited to appear on Howard Stern Show, New album Strip Tease favorite among exotic dancer across the nation
(New York, September 21, 2004) Lady Saw has been asked to appear on the Howard Stern Show to promote her new album Strip Tease. The appearance will take place on September 23rd in New York City. The Howard Stern Show is one of the most popular radio and television talk shows in the country. The show is syndicated to over 45 stations nationwide, and has an audience of over 20 million. This marks Lady Saw’s second appearance on the controversial radio show, the first being with Shaggy when her answer “Son of a B#*ch” to his mega-hit “It Wasn’t Me” was released.
Lady Saw is The Matriarch for all female dancehall deejays, and arguably some female rappers. She is the first female deejay to win a Grammy (which she did with No Doubt for “Underneath it All” –Best Performance by a Duo or Group with a Vocal), to go triple platinum (with said single), to go gold (with Vitamin C for “Smile”), and to headline shows outside of her native Jamaica. Howard Allen Stern is a liberal American radio personality and "King of All Media", famous for shocking his audience, often called a shock jock. He is highly controversial for his use of scatological and sexual humor and inflammatory and arguably bigoted comments about various religious and ethnic groups.
On a similar note, Lady Saw’s new album “Strip Tease” has been well received by Gentleman’s clubs across the country. Exotic dancers at various strip clubs have been requesting songs from the album including ‘I’ve Got Your Man’, ‘Strip Tease’, and ‘Man Is the Least’.
In a recent promotional stop at the #1 Strip Club in the nation “Scores” Lady Saw signed autographs and took pictures with the world famous Scores Night Club dancers. Lady Saw had this to say when she was told that strip club dancers have been dancing to her music “That’s Great! I have been doing hardcore dancehall for sometime now, and it’s always good to hear that people are dancing to my music” Lonnie Hanover a representative from Scores said “Our dancers have fallen in love with this album and it is playing in all 5 of our clubs, we want to be the club that breaks this record. The girls have requested that the DJ play Ive Got Your Man and Strip Tease as part of their routine every night”
