Jamaica's vibes deejay Elephant Man hosted the pilot episode of MTV2's new dancehall show entitled 'Bashment' which premiered last week Sunday.

The half hour episode hosted by the "Energy God" Elephant Man was taped last month in Jamaica and showcases today's hottest dancehall/Reggae videos. Elephant Man's video for 'Pon di River, Pon di Bank' has been in heavy rotation on MTV2 and was recently named "Buzzworthy" on MTV and MTV2.

MTV2, the 24-hour American music network, reaches nearly 50 million homes and focuses on new music and breaking new artistes.

Now this is some great publicity for reggae/dancehall music.

Elephant even hosted a new pilot for a show to potentially be carried on MTV2 ? if you missed it, you should still request it as this can very well be the future representation of Dancehall Reggae mainstream ? allowing many the glimpse into understanding Caribbean music!

He?s teamed up with Biz Markie for the song ?Let Me See You Bounce? for da Biz?s upcoming album. His album drops in December and he?s getting ready to shoot another video. The album, ?Good To Go? is definitely a must have and is coming threw the VP/Atlantic channel.

I got the album for Christmas and its soooooooo good. I was actually surprised at how diverse it sounds. Lots of different beats and rythyms, keeps it interesting all the way through. I think there's only like 2 songs I don't like. If he kept making music the way he is I'll never get tired.

Anyone know anything about this "Kiprich" guy who's in Jook Gal on the Good to Go CD? Never heard of him but really like his stylee.

Here in slovenia i think we dont have any cds of reggae dj-s, we have just cds of some reggae legends...

Well, I went outside to get high. In Germany we do have MTV, MTV Pop(which is located in Germany) and 2 German located Music channels:Viva and Viva plus.By the way:What means kee-kee?

i'm very new here and i'm looking for someone to help me...i downloaded a song called "bumboclaat" from elephant man, and i am hoping that someone can clear up what the song is actually about...i realize what the subject matter is, so if you don't want to post here, you can email me @ djputty@hotmail.com ... i'd really appreciate the help...

"bumboclaat" is a very defamatory and derogatory word used in methods similar to the US word f-u-c-k.

These words can be used in any conversation depending on the mood. They can depict anger, emphasis or even joy. Go figure
